
For the bread machine........
This came to us from Desi on the "Addicted To BBQ" board.
Wet
Ingredients
1 1/4 cup warm water
4 tbsp EVOO
2 tbsp honey
Dry
Ingredients
3 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup cornmeal
2 tsp granulated garlic
2 tsp dried basil flakes
2 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp dried oregano flakes
1 tsp kosher salt
3 packets active yeast
Mix the wet ingredients in the loaf pan. Next mix all of the dry ingredients
except for the yeast in a bowl. Now pour the dry into the loaf pan (do not mix),
make a well in the top of the dry ingredients to put the yeast into, making sure
none of the liquid comes through. Put the yeast in the well and place the pan in
the bread machine. Set the machine for a 1.5 - 2 pound loaf and the dough
setting and start the machine. This will make 2 large pies, and will roll out
beautifully with a rolling pin. Use it right out of the machine or let it rise
if you wish, either way it will be great.
